Beta carotene is a safe, non-toxic precursor to vitamin A. It supports the body’s defense system, increases visual acuity, and promotes anti-inflammation. Beta carotene’s antioxidant properties may help prevent tissue and DNA damage. It is virtually nontoxic; the body converts beta carotene to vitamin A as needed.
